Apple Denies The Rumors Of An Apple Netbook

on 24 April at 5:51 pm

MacRumors reports that Apple’s executive Tim Cook was questioned about the possibility of an Apple netbook at the financial results conference call. But he simply denied any such chance. “When I look at the existing netbook market, I see cramped keyboards, terrible software, junky hardware and very small screens. While Apple is still looking at the space, we have no interest in putting the Mac brand on these types of devices. If we do find a way to deliver an innovative product that makes real contribution, Apple will pursue it” Cook narrated.

Despite Apple’s denial, rumors of Apple netbooks are very hot these days on all mainstream technology blogs. But all this seems silly to me. Apple has always been to luxury not affordability. Macs are always costly than the PCs. Then why will Apple look into a product which is all about affordability instead of functionality? Cook is very much right in saying that “We have no interest in putting Mac brand into these types of devices”.
