After MSI, Acer Also Announces Android Netbook

on 2 June at 9:49 pm

Android is a Mobile Phone operating system but it seems we will soon see some Android netbooks in the market. First we saw a lab experiment showing Android running on a development kit. Then we saw John Doug of Dell previewing Dell mini with Android OS. Now Acer has also jumped into the race with the announcement of an Android netbook.  The Wall Street Journal reports that Acer will launch its Android based netbook later this year, the date announced is October 2009. No details about the specs but it will most probably be an Atom one.

I am not very much hopeful for all these Android netbooks because G1 users are not very happy with their phones. Even the Cupcake update is not a good deal. However, if ‘Rosie‘ is something real then Android gadgets might become acceptable!
