Samsung’s New WB 1000; 12.2 Megapixel Camera With Analogue Guages
Samsung is about to release a new 12.2 megapixel camera phone which features two analogue gauges for quick display of battery life and memory usage. It features a 24mm ultra wide angle Schneider HD lens with 5x optical zoom. On back panel, there is a 3 inch hVGA+ AMOLED display with 1000:1 contrast ratio. So it is obvious that you will be able to view the display clearly, even in bright sunlight. Samsung WB 100 also records videos at a pretty good quality. You can record 720p HQ video at 30fps. The optical zoom can be used while recording the video too.
The camera has a “scene recognition technology” which according to Samsung, chooses from 11 different settings ranging from landscape to portrait automatically. Samsung has worked hard to make WB 1000’s a perfect gadget, the Dual Image Stabilization resists the image blur due to a shake. Samsung has combined the technology of their ultimate Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) mechanism with the advanced algorithms of Digital Image Stabilization (DIS) to ensure sharp images. With ISO 3200, the images are automatically capture sharp and clear even is low light or moving objects.
And the most of all, the feature which captured my eye at the WB 1000 official page is:
“No one has a bad side with WB 1000’s Perfect Portrait system. Sure it fixes red-eye, but this next generation face detection technology even detects blinking. So you’re always sure eyes are open and smiles are bright. In addition it evens skin tones, erases blemishes and removes dark circles. And with different level settings, you can control how much retouching you do. Not that your friends and family need any”
