iPhone Supplier’s Employee Committed Suicide After a Fourth Generation iPhone Goes Missing
Apple’s policy about its products is very secretive. It doesn’t allow anybody to get clue of what it is working on. Through this way, it creates a lot of hype and thus draw a lot attention to its product launch events. Same was the case with iPhone 3GS and thus is for another upcoming iPhone which we can call the fourth generation iPhone.
Foxconn is an electronics manufacturing giant which manufactures iPhones, iPods for Apple and a lot of consumer gadgets for companies all over the world. After the completion of the fourth generation iPhone prototype, company tasked the newly employed 25 years old Sun Danyong to deliver 15 prototypes form Foxconn to Apple. During the course of his task of delivering these diamonds (can we say so, instead of gadgets?) he found one of the prototype missing, searched for it at the factory but couldn’t find. After reporting to his boss, he faced severe physical and mental abuse including the illegal house search. Not bearing all these miss-haps, he jumped from the 12th storey roof of his apartment leading him to death.
Apple has also confirmed the death of the Foxconn employee. Who is responsible for this tragic incident? Apple – for stressing on secrecy too much? Foxconn – for abusing Sun in illegal way? Sun himself? No one knows yet, lets hope that the matter doesn’t go un-addressed and the people responsible for such things face what they deserve.
