Google Books Ready To Wrestle Amazon And Apple All Alone
Google is reportedly all set to launch its very own digital book store this summer called ‘Google Editions’. But there are some strange things attached to the news. I expected and still want Google to sell and ship physical paper books to my home but that won’t be the case. At least I could get a PDF or ePub of the books I purchase but even that’s not the case. Just like Apple’s approach to keep its monopoly by providing customers with the least freedom, Google is not going to let me download any books I purchase. Yes, I’d only be able to view it in the browser – may be its gonna be the same thing as the current form of google books but with full edition instead of the limited ones? Well, this may mean that I’ll have to pay a minimal amount for the books. Some serious kick in Apple’s tummy and Amazon’s face.
Now that Google’s gonna do the book sale too, Google is again ready to dive into your home. It’ll know what you read, when you read, where you read and how much you read (…and see). Pretty evil!
Hey Steve Jobs! Why not sue Google over all this evil? They are going to compete you after all? Your honor, it’s your first responsibility to keep the world away from all the evils who try to compete Apple.
