Video: Leaked iPhone Prototype Hands On; Responds To iTunes

We have seen a leaked iPhone prototype just a few hours ago from some veitnamese guys. They have now made a hands on video of the phone so you can have a more detailed look. Unfortunately I am not able to understand what the guy is saying but I can understand his gestures to some extent.

Most probably, he is telling that this iPhone 4G prototype is gorgeous, it has got this big screen, a flash on the back, a front facing camera, unibody body. It is nearly the same size of a first generation iPhone, it has a microSIM card slot blah blah blah..

Hi guys, this is the iPhone 4G in my hand, from Mr. XXX. It seem small but I feel pretty long and a little bit narrow when holding it in my hand. The machine is strong and solid with both sides made of glass (0:36, knock! knock! knock!). The camera comes with flash and the machine is 16GB as indicated and the code at the back with numbers of X characters (0:46). There is another camera next to the speaker at the front side and the home button.

…..that Code otherwise the phone will auto disable, not to be disabled remotely by Apple(2:00). Comparing with the current version, the phone is narrower approx 4mm, the length is little longer, the machine is thinner and screen is similar. It looks manly but the sharp edges may hurt your fingers (2:39). This is the SIM tray using miniSIM card. The back is so solid and the new Iphone feels stronger and more modern than the current one. OK thank you….!

Unfortunately, they couldn’t get the OS to working but the iPhone 4G did respond to iTunes bringing the message:

iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes.

Ohh nice. When they tried to restore the iPhone as the above instruction, this is what they got:

Software for this iPhone is not currently available. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and try again.

We are all waiting for this thing to go official. It has definitely a slick design. I can’t wait to grab one. And if does play HD and captures HD video, it is really really awesome.
