Breaking: iPhone 4/HD and OS 3.1.3 Carrier Unlock Coming Soon!

Unlock iPhone 4
Good news for those who have accidentally updated their iPhones to OS 3.1.3 or 4.0 and now stuck with an unlocked iPhone. Muscle Nerd of iPhone Dev Team has confirmed in a tweet that unlock for baseband 05.12.01 would be out soon and available for download, somewhere in the month of June 2010.
Jailbreak for these two firmwares has been released by all the major developers already, but so far there is no hack available to trick the upgraded baseband into picking up signals from other networks. Hopefully with the release of this unlock, iPhone users would be able to use the latest firmware on the network of their choice.
Here’s a screenshot of his tweet:
It has been already announced by the Dev Team that Jailbreak and Unlock for iPhone OS 4 would be released very soon after its final release. They have already managed to jailbreak all four beta versions of iPhone OS 4 and we can definitely expect them to do the same with the final release.
Apple would be releasing their new, next generation iPhone 4/HD today at WWDC 2010 along with a new firmware – iPhone OS 4 for their iDevices. The new iPhone would be available on a contract with AT&T, but with this unlock you will be free to ditch it for any carrier you like. All Thanks to the Dev Team :)
