Samsung says all of its Galaxy S phones are going to get Froyo. Unfortunately all of the recent Samsung phones are launching with Android 2.1 Eclair. Let’s live on hope.

As Froyo is already there on a couple of devices so we think there won’t be much delay. Samsung says there will be least delay for Epic 4G. So what about others? Galaxy S, Galaxy S Pro, Captivate, Epic 4G, Vibrant and Fascinate? No worries, they would also get Froyo. No date to tell though, only a mere promise.

If you don’t wanna go for Eclair at all, you’ve got no choices. There are no devices shipping with Froyo yet. The latest release – HTC EVO – hasn’t got the Froyo yet. Only Nexus One is getting the Froyo flavor, still not all Nexus Ones have it yet. You’d have to get an Eclair device and wait for the Froyo update on Carrier/manufacturer’s mercy!
