“If you complain about your iPhone 4, I’ll laugh at you”. That’s what Steve Just did!

Steve Jobs told us that the iPhone 4 was not the only phone having a an signal drop problem when gripped firmly. Then he admired iPhone had a problem. Then he told us that the problem was not big at all and affected only a few customers. But Apple wanted to make every user happy.

So what’s Apple’s plan to make you guys happy? Hah, did you expect a hardware solution? Did you think that you’d take your phone to an Apple store to get it fixed? No way! Apple won’t do that. Instead Steve Jobs makes fun of the users by offering them a free iPhone case. Yes, that’s the solution Apple has got. Steve Jobs told the press that using a case for iPhone solved all the signal problems so Apple is shipping free cases to all the customers.

This is the most lame solution I’ve ever seen. And this solution tells us that the problem is really with the iPhone 4 not other phones. I might explain that in a post later today. I hope you guys are keeping up with us at the following services:

    Owaeis,
RE: “If you complain about your iPhone 4, I’ll laugh at you”. That’s what Steve Just did!

Wow dude, your article reeks of jelousy! Did you try to get a job with apple and got rejected? I have an iPhone 4 and it is excellent. Never had a reception problem, although if I hold it tight in the “deathgrip” I will see a couple of bars drop, BIG IF there. I would also recommend you do your homework, every major smart phone included the duel antennea Droid has been demonstrated to show the same drop in bars if held in a similar fashion, although in certain phones its the opposite side. Apple didn’t have to offer anything for this problem and it is extremelly generous that they, and only they, did. Until somebody comes up with a better phone (most likely apple) I will be all to happy to stay with my iPhone.

Guys , I have iPhone 4 and I don’t have any problem with it . And I think what steve job did is a good over . And why people make a big deal with that antenna thing. Just put a case and the problem solved . I always put case for my old iPhone anyway . For the hater ,, grow up and stop blaming people

One more thing while I’m on my high horse. Steve Jobs doesn’t need any defending, so relax.

OK, to some people it is a big deal. That’s ok. To them, it’s like buying a car and then being told that if you go on the highway you might stall in a small percentage of your trips. You say, “I paid for a car that works all the time, not just when it’s convenient”. The dealer says “ok, I don’t really see your concern, but I’ll give you something that might reduce the incidence”. You could be upset. Some people are fine with it, after all you can get a dropped call due to ATT as much as anything else. But whenever you step up on the world stage and tout your product as being the ultimate, AND when you have forced people into a particular network/vendor, you are going to have to expect to have people nit picking. So back off. You like your iphone, fine. He doesn’t. Fine. He’s right and you just aren’t concerned about the defect.

I got a case the first day I got my iphone 4 to ensure i protected the phone not for the antenna issue. People are making a bigger deal out of it than it actually is. I have yet to drop a call with the phone. If you buy a case, you protect the phone while keeping great reception. It’s a simple solution to all the whining.

You can always return the phone it if you don’t like it. I have an iPhone 4 with a simple $0.99 silicone case. I have NO signal issues at all. Get over it, if you don’t like the iPhone return it or don’t buy one. Apple did the right thing, they are accepting returns and offering a solution that works completely.

Just take note, other companies have denied problems, at least Apple acknowledges them. For example, Dell sold PC’s with faulty capacitors that caused them to fail completely. Another example is Toshiba, they released laptops that had an insufficient cooling design. Their fix was to release a secret bios update that cut the processor speed in half! Get a life and jump off the ‘i hate Apple’ bandwagon. I think I am a neutral party, I am a Linux user, except for my iPhone.

Well Owaeis, Apple themselves did not say that the case fixes all of the problems. Other publications have noticed that the case helps by being a buffer between the phone and the hand. Since Apple sees that this is somewhat true, they are trying to do everything they can to make EVERY user happy. Instead of staying on the “iHate iPhone4″ bandwagon, why don’t you see that Apple is actually trying to resolve this issue instead of just sitting idly by while it’s users (be it a VERY small percentage) suffer. THAT is one of the many reasons why Apple has such a following. Their customer support is amazing. If I wasn’t tied down to a family plan with Sprint, this response by Apple totally gets rid of any bad feelings that I would have about buying iPhone 4.

This hole antenna thing is stupid. I have never seen an iPhone user who didn’t have a case anyway to protect the phone. I love my iPhone 4 and wish apple didn’t have to spend all the money pacifying the cry babies like you out there and could use those resources to continue to develop awesome products like the iPhone 4. Waaaaaaaaaaah. I LOVE MY IPHONE 4!

Well? Where’s the explanation already? If You’re going to demand a rapid response from Apple, shouldn’t I expect a rapid response from You? While I don’t own an iPhone, I think the response was pretty satisfactory. If You have a solution which demonstrably and consistently works, maybe You should send it to sjobs@apple.com and add something constructive to the discussion instead of taking shots.
