Some users are claiming that their iPhones are stuck at Apple logo after a jailbreak app required a reboot to complete the installation. Don’t worry, there a simple solution to this problem.
The Problem:
- iPhone stuck at Apple logo and won’t boot completely.
The Reason:
- It is a jailbreak-only issue and doesn’t happen on non-jailbroken iPhones.
- May be, mobilesubstrate wasn’t properly functional on your jailbroken iPhone.
The Solution:
Update: Turns out that there’s a simpler way to fix this on tethered jailbreaks. Just plug your device into the PC/Mac, start redsn0w 0.9.9 beta 5 and select ‘Just Boot’ from ‘Extras’ and it will boot your device tethered.
You need to restore your iPhone to an official IPSW and then jailbreak it again.
Step by Step Guide:
Read our disclaimer before proceeding.
- Disconnect your iPhone from the computer.
- Enter recovery mode by pressing and holding the home and power simultaneously for about 20 seconds.
- You should see an iTunes connect graphic on the screen, this means you have successfully entered recovery mode.
