T-Mobile did indeed have some “Sensational” news last night, and as expected it was confirmation of the arrival of the HTC Sensation on America’s 4th largest carrier. The confirmed date is June 8th, if you’re looking for the next big thing from T-Mobile. Walmart will carry the device soon after by June 15th. No price has been provided, but if it follows other similar offerings from T-Mobile you can expect to pay between $199 and $249.99 on a 2-year contract.
T-Mobile’s press release confirms the device’s exciting spec sheet. The sensation will ship with Android 2.3.3, this is the pre-GChat video version, as well as the Sense UI and 1.2 GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon processor. If you’re a media junkie then the Sensation may be just the device for you. It’s designed for watching video, playing games, and jamming tunes. It comes with some preloaded tools to help you do just that as well. HTC Watch is movie and TV show library that offers rentals and purchases. HTC Listen is a music library that allows you to copy your purchased songs to othe devices. T-Mobile TV offers live and on-demand TC, for a monthly subscription fee. Qik video chat comes preloaded, as does Slacker Radio.
