Worldwide Jailbreak Convention

The world’s premiere convention for iDevice hackers, the Worldwide Jailbreak Convention, is coming to California’s South San Francisco Conference Center on September 29th, 2012. Previously known as MyGreatFest, the newly re-branded WWJC is a gathering about all things “i”. A lineup of the biggest names in the jailbreaking world will be on-hand to give speeches, as well as offer jailbreak advice, tutorials, host workshops about app development, and much more. WWJC has released the lineup of speakers for this year’s event, and as with the previous event, Jay Freeman (a.k.a Saurik).

The creator of the Cydia app store for jailbreak apps will be giving the keynote speech on the state of jailbreaking. App wonderboy Ryan Petrich, one of the busiest developers on Cydia, will also be presenting. Ryan has developed over 30 apps for iOS versions 2.2 through 5, including Activator, Display Recorder, and Action Menu. The Chronic Dev Team, who had such a heavy hand in developing the jailbreak for the iPhone 4S and iPad 2, will also be present for the event to talk about creating jailbreaks. Other well-known hacksters, such as iH8Snow, Josh Tucker, Aaron Ash, and many more will be around to give their own talks, but also to run workshops on development and tweak design. Others will also be added as the months tick down toward the event, which is still a good 6 months in the future. The entire lineup can be found here.

If you’re interested in attending, ticket prices have not been announced as of yet, but keep tabs on the site for the latest information.
